Blackout

To all the Unveiled of the word: In the event of a blackout, run like hell. If you hide, they WILL find you. And they will not hesitate to kill you. You aren't human anymore, and your ability to see means that you can also kill. Stay alive. From now on its kill or be killed.

The ability to see the supernatural isn't always a good thing.

After waking up from a coma, 17 year old Emilia Collins discovered she had become an Unveiled, a human with the ability to see the supernatural. Unfortunately for her, that meant experiencing blackouts. When the lights went out, the creatures of the night came in.

Constantly running from the dark, Emilia never really knew what it was like to have a family. Well, at least until she accidentally ran into the house of an unnatural one during a blackout.

At first glance you might think the Hunts were a totally normal family. But if you took a closer look you'd notice all the little things that proved otherwise. One of which being the large fridge in the basement filled with blood bags.

18 year old Alec Hunt was unfairly born into the world of the supernatural when his mother, an Unveiled, drank the blood of a Sire, creatures in which humans referred to as vampires, in order to save his life. All Alec ever wanted was to be normal, but his thirst for blood kept him from it. On the brink of starvation, Alec found himself sucking the blood from the neck of a mysterious girl who showed up at his doorstep.

Together, Alec and Emilia must find what it means to be supernatural, and of course protect each other from all the supernatural beings who want to kill them.

Now thrown into a whirlwind of romance, sexual tension, heartbreak, and a sprinkle of supernatural, will Emilia be able to overcome her fears and protect her family from the ever lurcking darkness?
