"Hey, Scorpius..." Rose begins once Albus has left.

"Yes."

"Thank you for helping Albus. You're a really good person even though I didn't see that when we first met. I hope you've forgiven me for that. Thank you for being good to me when I was anything but good to you," she says to me.

"No problem," I smile. "How did you know I helped Albus, anyway?"

"We sent letters to each other after I woke up," she explained.

"I'm really sorry, Scorpius. For everything. I didn't know how horrible I was being. If I did I would have stopped."

"Calm yourself, woman!" I say and Rose laughs. "People give apologies so they can be forgiven. I have already forgiven you so why must you apologize to me again?"

"I guess I just still feel guilty about it," she replied.

***

Rose is a lively and outgoing girl that lives in a family that loves and cares for her. She is to blame to how close her year was with each other. She knew everyone and everyone knew her. She is smart and liked, maybe favoured, by her professors. She is highly respected by everyone because of her parents and what they have done to help the wizarding world.

Scorpius is a bit more reserved. He might've been like Rose but under the influences of people who won't forgive his father for everything he's done, he's this way. He lives in a big and lonely manor with only his crazed mother and a father who will never recover from the war as company. People have been so terrible to him, he actually feels guilty when he hears the things his father has done.

Rose and Scorpius are two completely different people but don't forget, opposites do attract.

"What's wrong, mate?" Albus asked me. He looked at where I was looking- the point where Lily had disappeared- and slapped his forehead. "You STILL fancy my sister?" Rose didn't say anything, which was odd for her. I turned my attention back to Al. "So what if I do?" I asked with false bravado. "Mate, she hates you like she hates Derrick McLaggen. Maybe worse." I remembered McLaggen. He was the Slytherin that I'd hexed into oblivion after he'd tried to make a move on Lils. That was when she'd hexed me worse than I'd hexed him. "I don't need your help," she'd snapped at me, and stomped away. "You're welcome," I'd sighed. Now, looking at that small, obscure point where she'd vanished, I wanted to go after her, make her talk to me. But I knew Al was right. She hated me. And that, reader, is how I started my year- looking forward to fun and torture in the sparkling, dancing, penetrating blue eyes of Lily Luna Potter, the daughter of the Boy who Lived. "You won't forget about me will you?" Scorpius stared down in shock at the gorgeous freckled-faced girl lying next to him. He was slightly offended that she thought he could ever forget her. They'd been best mates since the moment she scared the bullies off on their first train ride to Hogwarts. He'd been in love with her since the moment in the fourth year when she scolded him for falling off his broom but proceeded to clean up his wounds with a gentle touch. How in the world could she think he'd ever forget her? "You really think I could forget you?" Rose shrugged staying silent, as she picked at a loose thread in his sheets, refusing to meet his steely gaze. Tomorrow was their last day of exams, which meant Scorp was leaving tomorrow night. They had snuck up to Scorp's dormitory to get a few precious moments alone, while the rest of his dorm mates were off at his going away party. He still couldn't believe that by this time tomorrow he wouldn't know the next time they would see each other. The very thought killed him. Even though he'd known for over a year now that this day would come, he still wasn't ready for it. He wasn't ready to let her go just yet. He had a feeling he never would. At least not completely. Gripping her chin delicately, he raised her face so that their eyes met. "I could never forget you." Before she could argue or think up some other absurd thought, Scorp guided her lips to his. Rose kissed him back sweetly. After nearly a year together he still wasn't sick of kissing her. He pulled away to look into her pale blue eyes, hoping he was conveying everything that she meant to him with his next words. "I'll love you always."

Rose Weasley has always been the top of her class. She got it from her mum, the pure determination to soak in all the information that she learned because to her, there was nothing more interesting. But at the start of her sixth year, she is already feeling stumped, and not because of the higher-level N.E.W.T classes that she is taking. No, this is because of a Malfoy. Her parents were never too thrilled that she was friends with the kid, but it didn't stop Rose, especially not when she couldn't even see her best friend/cousin without also seeing him. Along with Rose, Scorpius was also one of the top students in the class. He was her only real competition. And the friendly competition never hurt anyone, well, not until this year. Rose can't put her finger on what it is exactly, that has caused this shift in her friendship with Scorpius and she hates it. She hates not knowing the answers to things, and this one replayed in her head all the time. She's stumped trying to figure it out, of course not realizing that it's her cluelessness that's the real problem. This story is filled with all the different types of love, family, friends, and yes, some romance. Follow Rose on her coming of age journey through her last two years at Hogwarts, where she learns all that she possibly can about magic, and possibly more importantly, about life. ***Note: This story was written before the Cursed Child, so not everything is completely "cannon" but more of my ideas on the next generation before the Cursed Child even came out. Thanks for reading!***
