Diamondback is a SandWing/SkyWing hybrid. Both aggressive tribes, so she automatically has a temper.
And bipolar.
The war messed with her head a bit, so it made her loose control of her emotions making her lash out at unexpected times. Especially seeing her older sister be killed as a young dragonet.
An animus Nightwing cursed her into a firescale when she was really young because Diamonds mother, Arid the SandWing, angered him.
Because she was cursed with firescale and not born, she can control the temperature her scales are at.
When the Great War ended, Diamondback and her little sister, SolarFlare were forced to go to Jade mountain academy.
They're mother said to make friends, and Diamond thought that was ridiculous.
But she went.
And she met her winglet. The silver winglet, and her whole perspective changed.
A hyper rainwing.
An intelligent SandWing.
An IceWing prince.
An kind Mudwing.
A mysterious Nightwing.
And a sneaky Seawing.
Diamond learns to trust, and love, having small, fun adventures with her new friends. But, something is lurking in the shadows, aiming its threat at the silver winglet.
Now, Diamondback must do everything to protect her friends.
Even if it means death.

Wings of Fire; Torn Between Sides
This book is a little outdated and will be getting a rewrite soon! ------------------ Fighting, dragons were always fighting in the Rainforest. Not physically, but verbally. The Rainforest Kingdom was being torn apart by its residents. The RainWing's and NightWing's. Queen Dandelion and King Palmtree are doing nothing to calm down their tribe, so, someone else has to. Lavender is an seven year old dragonet who belongs to both tribes. She's a hybrid, born from her RainWing mother and NightWing father. Her life is wonderful, at least in her family and small village close to the edge of the Rainforest. But, she's starting to notice the change within everyone, as if they know something is coming, something bad. Lavender wants to keep her kingdom safe, just like all dragons do, but she also wants to keep everyone connected and stop them from being torn apart. Will she be able to fix the ties that brought the RainWing's and NightWing's together? Or will they be split apart and she'll be stuck between torn sides. ------------------------ The Wings of Fire series is written by Tui T. Sutherland and this is just a fan-fiction based off of her series. No characters within this book are from the cannon books and it doesn't follow the cannon timeline. WoF Fanfiction - discontinued and really bad Hybrid was, well, a hybrid. She used to have a good life, kept hidden from the public. She didn't know what type of dragon she was and had no friends, but that didn't matter. She had her icewing dad, who took her out hunting and loved her enough to make up for everything else twofold. She thought that her difference wasn't necessarily bad. That all changed one day. Hybrid and her father were out, close to where they usually went hunting, and were celebrating her third birthday by going whaling. They were spotted. Another icewing took down her father, killing him for harboring a hybrid. Hybrid was dumped in the desert outside of the wall, where she was found by a sandwing. The sandwing drug her out to die in the dunes. She survived. Barely. After being stabbed by the sandwing's tail barb, she thought she was done for. The last thing that she remembered was her front talons feeling way too cold, especially in contrast to her sunburnt body. Then, black. When she woke up, she was even more different. A/N: I apologize, because, looking back, I kind of lost any inspiration for the first idea, can't mesh it with the idea I tried to throw in, and it would not make sense to ignore either of them....... So yeah this is discontinued, it's really a bad story. I may revamp it into a situation that makes more sense some time in the near future, though. Description: Aqua is clever, stubborn and smart, she can defend for herself just fine and is rude to certain dragons, unlike some royal dragonets that want everything and all the attention, she is way different, she hates being at home in the palace, she likes exploring and being on her own, the forest is her second home, she has a secret den at the top of a mountain with a rushing waterfall beside it, she usually goes there to get away from home and River, the SeaWing she's supposed to get married to, but she doesn't even like him, he's obsessed with her and thinks he can't make any mistakes with her. .: Silver'Tear :. Tribe: NightWings (Non Hybrid) Color: Pitch black with shades of grey on his underscales, silver scale next to his grey eyes. Some light shades of silver on him. Age (Human years): 17 Occupation: Assassin Description: Silver is stubborn, rude, and doesn't open much about himself. He's a professional assassin and does most killing in the dark, he's a mix of a Bounty Hunter and assassin, he'll kill his target but won't accept money from it. He can be soft and kind at times but those are mainly only to people he trusts, he wears 2 silver horn rings and they have an unknown power. Not much is known about him, but when most dragons ask who/how someone died they usually know their answer..
