This place was dead. There was no hope for a cure, we had mutated into nocturnal beasts of hunger and pain, torment, and fear.
No one understood how it happened, how they turned, how some didn't and others were just used as a snack.
But it seemed with each passing day, they were changing, growing in size, speed and instead of being stuck to the hours of night, they started moving during the day, silent as ever.
They were the new generation of humans.
