To everyone else, they were Eleonora and Theodore Reed. To each other, they were Nora and Theo.
Eleonora grew up in a loving household, with a few too many nosey siblings, and a pair of slightly insane, but busy parents. She was never the outgoing type, much rather choosing to curl up in a blanket, reading a good book then go out and hang out with friends.
Theodore was a bit different. He grew up in a slightly different atmosphere, mainly surrounded by his grandpa and his best friend. He wasn't the bad boy type, nor was he the athletic type. Theodore was just Theodore, a slightly awkward boy who had his own moments of weakness.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Want to know why I call you Nora?" he asks while looking into my slightly curious eyes.
"Sure," I said, because he really was the only one who called me that.
"It's because Nora means light, and you are my light at the end of the day, the only person who keeps me waking up each day. Without you Nora, all I see is darkness."

"You, uh, plan to go out like that?" Furrowing my eyebrows, I cast my gaze downwards, and that's when I remembered I had changed into pajamas after my date. My face heated up - it was embarrassing to unintentionally let Trevor see my pajama set that was, unfortunately, adorned with little cartoon sharks. "I..." I mumbled, my eyes still glued to the sharks swimming around the navy blue fabric, hoping that maybe, just maybe, one would swallow me whole right here and now. I was tense, the atmosphere was awkward, but Trevor, being the smooth player that he was, chuckled, and the mere joyful sound tickled my ears and brought the smile back to my face. "Go change," he said, nudging me to go back inside my house. "Alright, I'll just be a second." × × × 17-year-old smitten Morgan Darhk's world revolves around her best friend's brother, Archer Hastings. The only thing is, he doesn't know she exists - or at least that's what she tells herself and what HE tells HIMself. Morgan thinks she's the only one going through a limerence when it's FAR from the truth. Meet Addison Hastings, Trevor Parks, Chase Humphrey, Hanna Abrams, Eric Carter, and Killian Adler, all fellow victims of the unrelenting limerence. Swept up in a world of betrayals, drama, lies of omission, secrets, and most importantly, passion, these high schoolers go through the one thing everyone has experienced at least once in his or her life, as if a rite of passage: the unrequited love. As Morgan tries to find out what - or more importantly, WHO - she wants in life, she discovers a deeper sense in all this BS... ...that love - or at least limerence - blinds us all to see what's really been in front of us this whole time. × × × ~ Blinded by Limerence ~ 09/01/20 - 07/15/22

"Okay, you know what? You're such a jackass and I never should have kissed you," I say. Colton stands up. His green eyes are just as angry as mine are. "Then why did you?" he asks. "I don't know!" I yell. "Why did you kiss me back?" "Hey, you kissed me," Colton says. "We already established that! God! It's like talking to a wall. Whatever I say just fucking bounces right off of you!" I yell. "Do you have any idea how maddening you are?" Colton looks at me. "You don't think you're infuriating?" Colton asks. I narrow my eyes. He starts to walk towards the door. I grab the M&M's and chuck them at Colton. He whips around, his eyes blazing green. "Where the fuck are you going? We're talking!" I yell, crossing my arms. He rubs the back of his neck where the M&M's hit him. "You wanna talk? Fine. Let's talk," Colton says. "You're obviously messed up from all of the shit your mom did." "Maybe I am! It's not your fucking business!" I pause. "Why do you even care? You're just some manwhore, right? A fuckboy?" Colton laughs dryly. "Is that what you think I am?" he asks. He takes a step closer to me. I'm two seconds away from kissing him again. Andy Reed-Collins has never fit in. "That's not something you mess around with." I say to her and she just rolled her eyes. "It's not like he's going to fall for it anyway." She looked at her baby pink nails. "Then why do you-" "Because," She snapped looking away from her nails to me. "He needs to know how it feels to fall in love and then have your heart ripped out of your chest and just feel like you're dying inside." She clenched her fingers into a fist. "Plus you don't believe in love anyway so it should be a piece of cake to keep your end unattached." "Yeah whatever." Monica Roth wasn't exactly the new girl but she wasn't exactly popular either. Being in love with your best friend isn't the ideal life situation but for Zora, it's her only life situation. Secretly harboring her feelings for her best friend, Sierra, Zora pours her emotions into her journal in the form of poetry. After years of keeping her attraction for her friend at bay and trying to deny her feelings by forcing herself to love a boy who unconditionally loves her, Zora's favorite emotional outlet becomes the cause of her life falling apart as the truth finally comes out. ***** It was happening again. It was dark, sunset, I waited for her to be done with volleyball practice 'because she was my ride'. Somehow we wandered from the gym to the football field and we were sitting at the very top of the bleachers staring at each other. Her dark hair mirrored the direction of the wind, the setting sun being replaced by the brightness of her smile. We were sitting so close I could feel her warmth. It was an unusual situation. Friends don't do this. We held eye contact for a long time before I couldn't take it anymore and just closed my eyes. It wasn't real, she was just my friend. Then, I felt her tuck a strand of my curly hair behind my ear. That with the chill of the night sent shivers down my spine and a swarm of butterflies attacked my stomach. I reopened my eyes. If she didn't want me, why did she look at me that way? I held her hand and I held it for so long because I didn't know if we'd have another moment like this. We talk and laugh and she tells me I'm pretty and I ask her if she'd just noticed that and we laugh again. I realize the feelings I felt in that moment were not just the intense feelings of attraction that I felt every time I was with her. Warmth flooded to my face and if it wasn't for my dark complexion, my blush would be noticeable. I look into her dark-colored eyes and I come to the conclusion that I'm royally fucked and I'm probably also in love.
