Every time you become attached to someone, you become bound to them whether you like it or not. Invisible strings bind humanity together, the emotional connections that no one else can see. Ever since she was little, Cecelia has been able to see these strings. She could also see the damage they caused to other people, and felt its effects both secondhand and firsthand before deciding not to bother with them altogether. After all, how can the strings hurt you if you're not attached to anyone in the first place? However, sometimes fate likes to mess with people - and when Cecelia meets a group of people more tangled than an old sewing kit she knows that only she - and her knowledge of strings - can fix the situation. Yet, the more she tries to help, the more tangled she becomes. Amidst all the drama, Cecelia's own red string appears - and the person she was attached to couldn't have been any more different from who she'd been expecting.
