Average day wizard Taeic Alai is faced with a series of random challenges, painful injuries, and not-so-witty remarks to inanimate objects and animate objects who don't understand English or any reference to the Old World, before the Cleansing. [I won't be continuing with this story. I'll be starting a new one eventually. I just can't focus enough on my random, erratic storyline to do much with it.] This story doesn't have a definite storyline. I'm making it up as I go along, so just bear with me.

And when a powerful, enigmatic Sorcerer comes to her with a proposition, Zara finally sees her chance to embrace the curse she was born with. It was a chance laced with precarity and destruction, but a chance nonetheless...
