My name's Aurora Follows, and I'm sort of a freak I guess.
Not like I'm one of those really-negative people but it's just the truth. I mean what can you really expect when you're a teenage vampire?
See vampire's are a lot more like people than you probably think, especially when it comes to expectations. They try to mold all kids into this perfect, typical, median vampire mold. I'm sort of a problem because I just don't fit the mold.
And maybe that would be okay, if that was my only problem. I mean who cares if I was a LITTLE different? But apparently I'm a little too different.
I became a rebel. To the extent of getting arrested by the Elders of the Vampire Council for "Un-Vampire-Like Conduct" Whatever that means. And basically cutting out all of my vamp "responsibilities".
I befriended a human, who quickly became my best friend, and as far as I was concerned my life was going pretty well after all that.
I liked not having to answer before some council, now they basically left me alone. As long as I didn't mess with their world, they didn't mess with mine.
Everything was okay.
But all that changed with one phone call.
All I can say to you people out there is;
Be very careful who you prank call.
Ari and Soren's adventures continue as Soren struggles with his new vampiric urges and a coven of witches attempts to recruit Ari for their own ends.
*****
As dark dreams plague Soren, Ari finds his new abilities difficult to control. Something is awakening within him, and as his power grows, he attracts the attention of a group of witches who call themselves the Hecataeon. They believe Ari is an emanation of the goddess Hecate - a physical manifestation of her power - and they want that power for themselves. With their relationship facing challenges from within, Ari and Soren must find a way to unite their strengths before external forces tear them apart.
