"I'm not getting in any car with you. I don't know you, and you haven't exactly been the nicest person. And I'm not stupid." I finished my rant by letting out a angry huff and crossing my arms over my chest.

Before I even knew what happened the guy had stepped forward and swung me around so that my back was pressed up against the door and he was pressed up against my front, trapping me. He growled in my ear, "Listen here Doll face. I may not be nice, but if I wanted to hurt you I wouldn't wait until I got you in my car. I'd do it right now." Then just as quickly as he got a hold of me, he released me.

He kept his hand on my neck and inched closer to me. I turned my head slightly and he took the opportunity to nuzzle his nose in my neck. Taking in a deep breath, his hand slid from my throat and wrapped around my waist. What? I was confused and scared. "You always smell so good." He said, the vibration from his mouth tickled my neck. Suddenly the bell rang. "I-I need to get to class" I whispered and placed my hands on his shoulders and lightly pushed him back. His eyes immediately hardened as he roughly grabbed my neck and slammed me back into the wall. This time his body pressed on mine. "You'll leave when I say you can." He said as his other hand snaked into my hair and gripped it softly. "Did you really think just because our parents are getting married that things would change for you?" Avery wrapped an arm around my waist to catch me before I could get out the door. He pushed me up against the door, trapping me between his body and the door. "What's wrong?" I asked innocently. His face hovered over mine, much closer than I was used to. His gaze didn't leave mine as he spoke. "It would have been different if I had told him from the start. You wanted me to lie for you. You started this. If we tell him what really happened, he would be pissed at me for lying to him." "Stormie, you got a phone call!" Mason yelled up the stairs. The closeness between Avery and me started to make my legs feel like Jell-O, and I couldn't make sense of it. Our breathing became heavier. His eyes trapped mine. "Answer him," Avery murmured. "Uh," I stammered. I cleared my throat. "Be down in a minute!" My voice came out higher than usual. My gaze still couldn't escape Avery's. My heart raced wildly as his chest rose and fell against mine. Avery's gaze flickered to my lips. What's happening? My gaze fell to his mouth, which was moving closer to mine.
