There was almost nothing that could stop the God of Mischief when he was up to no good, but there was truly nothing in the universe that had been able to stop Loki when he was right about something and went about situations in a less than selfish way. Midgard needed him, wether they wanted to admit it or not. This time he had no plans of being defeated.

Broken Beyond Repair

By the time the Avengers come knocking HYDRA's door, Loki's long gone in every sense but the physical. Fortunately, even in his silent, fearful state, he's managed to make some friends. Wanda and Pietro won't let anyone hurt him. The Avengers are nothing but a threat, and Ultron makes them a promise that they'll be free of those so-called heroes soon enough. Thanos is not controlling him anymore. But, who is Loki? Who he really is, without Thanos inside of his head? God of Mischief, maybe? Friend? Co-worker? Found - Loki
After Loki supposedly gave up his life to save Thor from Thanos, the God of Mischief transported himself somewhere where he could escape Thanos's wrath. Ending up back on Earth, Loki realizes he is still mortally wounded from his bought with Thanos, and he is not healing like he should. Wounded, alone, and afraid of being found, Loki disguises himself as a common Midguard creature to keep himself hidden. He is found by a young woman who - unknowingly - takes in the trickster God and nurses him back to health. Loki finds himself torn between messing with this mortal to get what he wants, or to return to Thor and help his brother. The mortal in question, though, has no idea who she has saved, and what crazy, messed up world she has been hurled into.Complete

Mischief on Midgard
Takes place after the first Avengers movie, then goes AU. If Odin truly sees Thor and Loki as equal, they ought to face equal punishment for equal crime. Thors suggestion is granted and Loki is stripped of his powers as he banished to midgard where he has to either proof himself worthy or spend the rest of his life on earth without any special powers. Loki though is not so easily broken. He might not have magic nor supernatural strenght. But he still has his wits, his gift of deception, his knowledge and basic skills as a fighter. And he is not ready to just lay down and admit defeat. He is ready to do what it takes to rise ones again and handle the incoming threat from the void.Complete
