*Completed* 'Bethany supposed what made everything less scary was that she knew Kita had the power to completely destroy her, but she never would. And that's what made Bethany trust her enough to feel like she could give over her whole heart, even in its bruised and damaged state.' ------------------------------------------ Bethany's entire life is turned upside down when her dad leaves-and not just her mum but her whole family. She returns to her hometown feeling broken and reconnects with her childhood best friend, Kita. It doesn't take long for Bethany to realise her feelings for Kita are complicated, that somehow along the way, she's fallen in love with her best friend. But does Kita feel the same way? Not only does Bethany need to wrap her head around how much her family has changed, but she also needs to reconcile that life sometimes doesn't work out how you thought it would, and that can be okay.
