Lucy Heartfilia had everything going for her. Great friends, a boyfriend. Her guild was the top in Fiore.
That is until one day, during a dark time in the kingdom of Fiore when a string of murders is being committed. Lucy had her first fight with her boyfriend Natsu, who had only ever wanted to make sure she was safe, after her best friend wound up in a coma.
From that day, she disappears for years. Her friends even take her for dead after being gone for so long.
At the Grand Magic Games four years, there comes a mysterious masked mage too secretive to not be suspicious. This mage comes with an equally enigmatic guild; one with a secret, and one who may have been involved in the "Mincemeat Murders" of four years ago. With these Games come mind games of Fairy Tail's own. What are the odds of this mage with the mask just so happen to be the friend they lost all those years ago? They would do anything to have her back. Anything so extreme they could risk losing everything.
What is this guild's secret? And why are they so obsessed with her? What lengths would Fairy Tail go to take her back? Why?
Why? Because she left.

Thinking that she is not good enough to be in Fairy Tail Lucy plans on leaving, but after a terrifying accident on a mission that sends her into a world full of nightmares and danger she isn't even sure she will make it back to Fairy Tail to decide if she should leave. While Lucy seems to be in a coma of sorts Natsu is worried sick. He can't seem to figure out why he feels so empty when he can't hear Lucy's voice or feel her warmth when he sneaks into her room. He is depressed and lonely but maybe during this emotional and heart breaking time Natsu will realize his feelings for a certain someone?
