"You don't want me, I'm broken." I'm taken aback by her statement and continue. "I'm not giving up, I know you feel the same as I do." I say softly bringing my lips closer to her ear with every word. I'm sure she can hear the speed at which my heart is beating just by being this close to her. Thankfully our ribs are cages and my wild heart can't escape. I brush my lips softly against her forehead while reaching behind her opening the door for her to leave. If I don't let her go now, I might not be able to let her go at all. "Close the door." "Excuse me." "Close the door," she says again. Elijah Cruz has to change schools, leave his home and watch over Nevaeh Walsh. Will he be able to protect her when the time comes or do emotions get in the way.

"He's staring at you," my sister whispered, wide-eyed. Now that I realised, I could feel someone's eyes burning the back of my head and as I turned around to see what my sister was talking about and my jaw immediately dropped whilst a cold shiver ran up my spine at the sight of the school's dangerous, certified bad boy. I shrugged nervously and turned around to face my sister. "Maybe he's just looking at what I'm wearing." The outfit was pretty cute, hands down. "But he never stares at anyone. He has only given them a cold stare that lasts for at least two-seconds." Oh hell no.
