CHARLOTTE WAYLAND LIVES in a time where werewolves are well-known and at the top of the food chain. The humans, especially in her small town of Westfield, despise the creatures entirely. She does too, in her "perfect" human life until suddenly her world is thrust upside down by the pack's next Alpha. Her so called mate.

(WARNING: This book contains a rushed ending, a rant of an authors note in the last part, and is not edited. It is also very cliche, and I wrote it when I was like fourteen. I don't recommend that you read it, but if you're in the mood for amateur writing and teen angst, I can't really stop you.)

**WARNING: This book does have some dark themes to it that revolve around abuse, rape etc. So please do not read if these themes are triggers for you** Four...That was her name or rather number of servant she was. She arrived at the Valley pack as a child with no name and no voice just wrapped in cloth and a strange necklace around her neck. Raised by the abusive Alpha, Four did not see any future for herself. What she thought would be a death sentence from a heist gone wrong, leaving her in the Alpha King's dungeon awaiting death for treason turned out to uncover more truths and secrets than she ever expected. ********* 'I cowered in the corner of the dark and cold cell. There was nothing but utter silence around me. It was deafening. My ears perked as I heard hissing sounds come from the vent and it made me feel weak and the door to the dungeon open. I could smell something but couldn't tell what the vapors released from the vents were burning my nostrils. I could hear foot steps drawing to my cell. The lights flicked on and I squinted to see a tall and broad figuring standing at my cell door, unlocking it, and walking in. The aura this man was giving out was making it hard not to tremble. I quickly stood up and bowed. "What is your name" he bellowed kinda muffled. I panicked and quickly remembered that the guards had not checked me before putting me in here. I pulled out my speech device and began typing...I looked up for a split second just to see a fist plummeting towards me and everything became fuzzy. I could hear screams but could not make out what was being said. Everything grew darker and darker before eventually everything was all black and my world faded...' ~~~~~~~ None of the remarks made in this story are real. It is all Fiction. ©All Rights Reserved

Marigold is the only daughter of the tyrant king of the Fae realm. After witnessing her father murder her mother, she was sent into a powerless exile to keep her quiet. After being paired with her third ruthless Alpha in Scotland, a visitor from the state of Washington surprised everyone. Finn is the strong Alpha of the largest pack on the west coast. He's been dying to meet his mate, but never imagined she would be a fae. The idea of a werewolf Alpha mating outside of the species is unimaginable until Finn has no other option. He adores his mate and is ready to sacrifice anything for her. But the mate bond and her sudden freedom is overwhelming Marigold and she decided to run. Will their bond survive? Little do they know that their fate has been written in the stars for generations. A war is on the horizon and they must all be ready. "I slowly stepped up to his bed and reached out my hand. I touched his arm softly, scared that I was going to hurt him. The second our skin touched, Finn stirred. His heart monitor spiked as the sparks from our bond covered our skin. All of my worries were suddenly gone. I climbed into bed with him, snuggling my body against his and forcing him to feel my presence. I laid my head on his chest and wrapped my arm around him. I listened to the monitor begin to stabilize and focused on the sound of his heart beating beneath my ear. I clung to that sound like my life depended on it. I felt his body slowly begin to warm under me like I was literally pushing life into him. I sighed and felt my own strength begin to return as our mate bond pulsed between us. "The fuck you are leaving me." His roar cracked through the hall like lightning. Ara didn't blink. She stood there, calm as death, done to her core. No tears. No tremble. Just a weary exhale as she turned her back on him - the one thing he never thought she'd do. Before she could take a step, his hand shot out, gripping her arm like he was holding on to life itself. "Where are you going, Ara!" His command shook the pack. But she wasn't his to command. Not anymore. Ara ripped her arm free with a force that made even his wolf recoil. "Don't. Touch. Me." Her aura slammed into him, cold and merciless. "You think I'll stand here and watch you mate and breed her?" she hissed, every word a dagger. His throat bobbed. "She meant nothing." She laughed - sharp, broken, brutal. "Yeah? That's why you were fucking her in your office? Couldn't even hide the scent of your betrayal." "Ara, it was a mistake-" She stepped closer, eyes blazing. "Your mistakes come in episodes, Alpha. Season one, season two, season three. You don't make mistakes. You make choices." He swallowed hard. "I don't need her. I need you." "Lies," she spat. "Every damn sentence you breathe is a lie. I can't even look at you without feeling sick." He flinched like her words physically hit him. "That female behind you?" she pointed, not bothering to glance. "Perfect for you. Go mark her. Breed her. Hell, fuck her for all I care." Her voice cracked - but she kept going, blade steady even when bleeding. "I don't need you. Not anymore." His knees crashed to the floor. The mighty Alpha. On the ground. For her. "Ara... I'm sorry. I'm really fucking sorry." His voice broke like he finally understood what loss tasted like. She stared at him with a sad, devastating smile. "Isn't it too late for that, Mate?" One tear escaped - and she crushed it away with her thumb. Then she turned. Walked. Didn't look back. But he didn't chase her. Because he knew. He didn't just lose her. He wrecked her.

Kylie survived the brutal destruction of her pack only to discover her cold alpha mate was the one responsible for the brutal slaughter of her family and pack mates. She can't forgive and she won't forget. Kylie cooperates with his demands while she searches for a way to free the remaining survivors and herself. Success teaches her just how complicated mate bonds can be and gives her the chance to choose her own fate. "Screw the mate bond. If I went for his throat while he was driving in human form, I might be able to kill him right now, and if I didn't succeed, the resulting accident might. I leapt for the front seat, powerful jaw ready to rip out his throat as he had ripped out my family's to take my revenge. Without even taking his left hand off the wheel, he blocked me by getting his right forearm between my jaws. I bit down as hard as I could, wishing to break his bones and sever the limb. Worse, I felt the tingles of our first contact where violence had connected us. The iron of his blood mingled with the other scents around me." (This is a dark story, but not the stereotypical one where she falls in love with her captor. This is the story of escape from a toxic relationship and finding healthy love.) MATURE content including violence, dubious consent, intimacy, and mature and other possibility upsetting themes like threats of suicide and miscarriage. Not intended for the 18- crowd, sorry. #1 in Protective (10/23/21, 02/02/22) #1 in Pack (10/24/21)
