Kristen's life is fun and safe, when her family goes on a vacation, her trip to Florida would go very well, until she finds out her family is moving there, leaving all her friends behind. And that's not all, Kristen doesn't know how to swim and will now be living on the ocean coast, and is too embarrassed to sign up for lessons. When Kristen meets a mysterious hottie at the beach, and her new, also hot, class partner Blake, she decides to put her Massachusetts past behind her and try out new things. But would her love life take the best of her, leaving her shattered when things go wrong, or will Kristen end up living a teenage fairy-tale? Or maybe neither?

Katie hasn't been home in far too many years to count. She left, vowing never to return. Her lover for her sister is what brings her back to small town Chicago, Kansas. The thought of being all alone with her family is insufferable so she concocts a plan to get her family off her back. That plan happens to involve her hot Greek friend, Achilles. Achilles is happy to go along with her plan. Will Katie be able to convince her family to accept her as she is or will she sever ties forever with the family that never thought she was good enough.
