Sophie was one of the original gladers but she was also the first. There was a mix up in the testing and in her frightened state she ran into the maze.

2 years on and she still resides within the maze. She comes and goes as she pleases as even wicked has lost her. She is invisible to everyone unless she wanted to be seen. She figured climbing to the top of the walls and out would've worked. And it did. Seeing outside she sees it is better to stay here.

She watches the boys in the glade completely clueless to the outside catastrophy. She would usually sneak in to get some supplies and weapons to fight off grievers if it was needed but they
never bothered her. Not even a glance.
What happens when something comes up that she has to show herself.
