"Link believe me just close your eyes. You'll be asleep before you know it. Just take deep breaths and listen to the sounds of the forest." Smiling kindly down at him she started to sing softly. Link was trying hard not to fall asleep but the girl had been right, his eyes slowly started to slide shut. The wind in the leafs and her soft voice called him into a silent trance. His eyes slid shut and he breathing slowed as his mind became calm and he fell asleep.
This is a bad self insert fanfic from around a year ago that I kind of want to finish....

But when Link's grandfather passes away, Link decides to rent part of the old cabin he used to own, and go have his fishing trip as normal. But it's not completely normal, the new owner's daughter tends to the cabin while he's there and she seems to be a nuisance. Will Link be able to enjoy his regular fishing trip as normal this winter break, or will Zelda ruin it for him? "Where did you come from?" Ilia asked and that's when everything stopped. Where did I come from? I tried to remember, I thought really hard but all I could say was, "I came from a place where no mortal should ever come from if they dare keep their head." The words tumbled from my mouth before I could stop them. I slapped a hand over my mouth, scared I would say more I didn't understand. Why would I say that? (Y/n) had awoke inside of a strange house, surrounded by strange kids. The only issue with that logic, she has no memory. Nothing to trigger why the young man Link and the group of children would be so kind to a stranger. It dawns on her that she needs to find out who she is again. However a darkness is brewing, and Link has a destiny to follow. The strings of fate tangle between the young duo, and (Y/n) makes a decision to help save Hyrule from the darkness. With nothing more than a brave face and an emerald pendant tying her back home, she sets out with Link. They also fall under the service of an imp itching for revenge. However, there is one person standing in the way of (Y/n) getting home. Her best friend, the Usurper King, Zant. He has made it his life goal to protect (Y/n) from himself and place a veil over her eyes to keep her from seeing his wrongs. Her wrath would for sure be the end of his evil plans. Elyza looked past her village to the land beyond. She saw the Dueling Peaks. She had never left Necluda. Even Kakariko Village seemed far away. Now, looking at it, it didn't seem so far. She looked the other direction. She saw what looked like a big...tower. Huh? Has that always been there? Elyza thought. I don't think I've seen that before. Ever. When did that get there? And... why is it glowing orange? A story that follows the storyline of Botw but we gave Link some friends (my ocs). :) Pretty angsty in places.
