"Link believe me just close your eyes. You'll be asleep before you know it. Just take deep breaths and listen to the sounds of the forest." Smiling kindly down at him she started to sing softly. Link was trying hard not to fall asleep but the girl had been right, his eyes slowly started to slide shut. The wind in the leafs and her soft voice called him into a silent trance. His eyes slid shut and he breathing slowed as his mind became calm and he fell asleep.
This is a bad self insert fanfic from around a year ago that I kind of want to finish....

"Where did you come from?" Ilia asked and that's when everything stopped. Where did I come from? I tried to remember, I thought really hard but all I could say was, "I came from a place where no mortal should ever come from if they dare keep their head." However a darkness is brewing, and Link has a destiny to follow. The strings of fate tangle between the young duo, and (Y/n) makes a decision to help save Hyrule from the darkness. With nothing more than a brave face and an emerald pendant tying her back home, she sets out with Link. They also fall under the service of an imp itching for revenge. However, there is one person standing in the way of (Y/n) getting home. Her best friend, the Usurper King, Zant. He has made it his life goal to protect (Y/n) from himself and place a veil over her eyes to keep her from seeing his wrongs. Her wrath would for sure be the end of his evil plans. Zelink AU Medieval Fanfiction Zelda, currently Princess of Hyrule wishes to see the world outside of the castle. Her father expects her to marry one of the chosen suitors to prepare Hyrule's next King, but she doesn't like the sight of any of them. Link is a Hylian knight with a tragic past. Being secretive and closed off is how he prefers to live. He has a quest he believes he must do alone-to find his older sister. But Hyrule is subject to an unknown danger, within itself. How will the mystery unfold and how will Zelda and Link achieve their dreams? I don't think I'm super great at medieval writing...(knowing the time period, vocabulary, descriptions, etc...) but I tried anyways! Sorry for the unappetizing description.
