When her brothers Eteocles and Polyneices are killed in a battle for the kingship, her uncle Creon, the new ruler, allows one to be buried, while the other is condemned to the battlefield. If anyone buried him, they went against the king. Antigone couldn't let this go. Nothing good could come of this.

(ONGOING. New chapters published sporadically) TWO SISTERS: ALWAYS APART, BUT TIED TO THE SAME FATE. Antigone and Ismene, named after two strong women from Greek Mythology, were the daughters of the Baron and Baroness of Phoenix Territory. As children, though they had their issues, the two sisters were attached at the hip. But when Antigone found her parents dead right before her eyes and her sister was nowhere to be found, things changed forever. At eleven years old, she became the youngest leader in the history of the Badlands. When she was sixteen years old, Antigone and her reagent Erastos, who was her childhood friend and the son of a cog, ran into trouble when their territory was invaded, plunging them into the middle of a war between territories. In an attempt to provide for her people and rebuild her barony from the bottom up, Antigone found herself aligning with Butterfly territory's headstrong Baron known as the Widow. This alignment opened her eyes to an entirely new world. She found herself trusting people whom she never thought that she would trust. After she began training with the Widow, she met a boy who seemed to know more about her than she knew about herself. This led her to discover a dark secret deep within her. Soon, Antigone found herself torn between loyalties, but the loyalty that mattered to her the most to her was her loyalty to her sister. Maybe, just maybe, Antigone was willing to spill blood to find her. The real question was whether or not Antigone would lose herself along the way.
