Troy sat in silence, listening, heart beating loudly in his chest, thumping rhythmically with the repeated smacks and crashes downstairs; no doubt another one of the boys was getting taught a harsh lesson. Sobs echoed throughout the old house; familiar sounds. There was another loud smack and everything went quiet. The stairwell creaked under the weight of him. Troy quietly ran towards the cupboard to the left of him in the small, dull room. He climbed silently into it, and shut the doors, only leaving a slither of a opening to see him. He called his name repeatedly, screeching it occasionally, followed by a maniacs laugh. The door to the so-called bedroom slammed open, smacking against the wall.
"Where are you Boy?" He whispered, making his devilish face grin. The rain began to fall and tumble against the cracked window, making the terrifying situation all the more sinister. His tall, thin frame manoeuvred around the room quickly, searching for any signs of his next victim. Troy suddenly felt the urge to sneeze, and he silently prayed that it would go away. He held it in as long as he could, then it happened. He straightened up, and turned slowly towards the cupboard. His grin deepened as he saw Troy.
