Hiiiiiii! I'm new here so please  be kind to me. Anyway, constructive criticism is always welcome and please don't hesitate to offer any tips to help improve my writing skills. 
I wrote this poem during our high school's Honor's Convocation. That is, when students are awarded for their excellent academic performances. I was always included in the roster, never have I failed to come up that stage. Yet, for once, I found myself sitting by my other classmates, watching all the others go to the stage to be recognized. It left a huge burn mark on my pride, I got really frustrated. And because of that, this poem was born. So yeah. Hope ya like it.All Rights Reserved

--So much on this earth is a miracle. But we fail to see them -- Two friends. One ceremony. One terrible accident. When Jade ended up with something life changing, she thought everything was over for her. And maybe it was. Someone can light a small flame of hope in everyone of us. But sometimes it turns into an inferno and burns us all. I had to write this for a school project and my friend said it was pretty good, so now I'm just "Jesus take the wheel" I got inspired by Disney's "Encanto", but the storyline and the characters are made by me. I first wrote this in 2022, and now, two years later I'm going over it again and again, slowly editing and stuff sooo...please be patient with me, my writing gets better, I swear. -OC short story, if anyone cares

I betrayed my best friend. The only person who ever cared for me. But I had no choice. Then there's his younger sister, Maria Andrews who always looked up to me as if I was some kind of an angel, little does she know that I am far away from that. And now I am on the run, trying to leave everything behind. But it's been four years, four fucking years since her eighteenth birthday when she confessed having feelings for me. For Me. And her words still haunt me, the tears in her eyes when I rejected her still burn my heart but I did what I had to do. People don't love me, especially women...they only seek pleasure from me. I am not a lovable person and someone you should definitely steer clear of. Getting involved with my best friend's (or ex best friend's) sister is stupid and I'm fucking mature enough to not even think of her, of someone who is eight years younger than me. But now, she is here and God help me, I am about to cross every fucking line.
