"Duke, I don't think I can do this." Hannah replied to his soft touch. She rolled on her side and faced away from him.

"Why not?" He asked, pulling her back over.

He ran his thumb over her lips and did something of the unbelievable - he pulled her shirt over her head. There below him was a pale beauty, or something that resembled Snow White. Her hair rippled over her shoulders and the light of the moon played on her chest. She was sparkling beneath him, and he was about to do things he never even dreamed of.

~

Hannah and Duke had always been somewhat distant friends. When Hannah's life is endangered by a nearby mudslide, some of the people that occupy her life seem to take no notice.
When she becomes enraged with her family, they snap and she is left out on the doorstep with nothing but her name and the clothes on her back. Duke had always had feelings for her, but when they soon become closer than ever, he isn't quite sure how to act.
Being abused as a young girl, Hannah struggles with her growing love of Duke.
Duke being numb to the world because of a similar background, doesn't quite know how to handle having feelings for a girl.
The roles seem to reverse once their feelings set into place.
