Falconfeather is a young tomcat in SnowClan. Only a few generations before they were driven out of their mountain home by CragClan. Now they have taken residence in a snowy forest. The Leafbare past was very tough going and the clan only jugs pulled through. Now that Newleaf is here things seem to be looking up for all of them. Except Falconfeather, Nightmares and Strange prophecies and foretellings. But one prophecy presents it to to him every night,

The four Clans-GrassClan, OakClan, PineClan and WillowClan-have lived in relative balance since the Clans began. They kept separate, save for their Gathering every full moon. While they had their disagreements, they kept a relatively harmonious existence. They had always been four Clans and it was believed that they always would be. The next couple of seasons, GrassClan struggled to feed themselves with little prey to be found. Yet, they refused to give up. Newleaf found GrassClan weak and starving but with hope on their horizon. Their oldest queen had moved into the nursery. Then, disaster struck a second time. Greencough swept through the Clan, snuffing out the new lives before they had even begun. The dreaded sickness left its mark, stealing the future of the Clan and all hope with it. Life had taken its toll on GrassClan. All that remained were their young leader, their deputy, their elderly medicine cat, one warrior and three elders. They had no apprentices, no she-cats and no kits. The once vibrant Clan was on the brink of dying out. The four Clans would soon be no more. Then, at the next Gathering, StarClan brought a message to the Clans: GrassClan must survive. There had always been four Clans and that could not change. They proposed that volunteers from the other three Clans should join GrassClan to help restore it. Cats were given one moon to consider the offer. Even with this last-ditch effort by StarClan, most cats don't believe it will be enough to save GrassClan. Will GrassClan truly rise from the ashes?

But Goslingpaw and her friends and foster parents know who really is the cat of the prophecy, and Goslingpaw can't help but realise that she keeps hearing the call of a wild snow goose, despite not knowing where it is. The voices are growing louder, her powers are getting stronger, this perilous journey may lead Goslingpaw and BlazeClan to their destiny... Or maybe to their ultimate demise.
