We're all born with demons. When we're ten, they're taken away for our protection by the Illuminaes. When Lila gets a message from her demon, Elijah, warning that bad things are going on, she starts questioning the Illuminaes. Encouraged by Elijah and forced by her mother to go to Illuminae Heights, the school for future Illuminaes, her and her new roommate struggle to find out what's going on. Are they all in danger?
