What becomes of you after you die? Most souls do move on to either a heaven or hell, however some souls don't get that luxury. Some are called upon the Divine to become "Reapers" working with Death himself. A Reaper's job is to collect and harvest souls so those can go to heaven or hell. That is, until recently. Demonic attacks and possessions have been rising in the city of Los Angeles. Death has initiated a team of his best Reapers to help him take down the demons. Vivienne is a girl who had only just died, and her death was gruesome. She learns that she too is a Reaper, and she's going to be a part of Death's team. However, there's more to working with him than she anticipates. She's attracted to him. There's this feeling she gets around him that she doesn't understand. However, Death understands it completely. Vivienne wasn't just chosen by the Divine to become a Reaper, she was chosen to be Death's mate for the rest of eternity. The problem is, she has this murderous ability she can't control. And nobody, not even Death knows how she gained it or where it came from. Vivienne's afterlife is simply just complicated.
