Overrun (Draft)

montanes hate imperials.
imperials hate montanes.
both hate half-blooded bastard children.

imperials are the dudes that live in the southern bogs and mountains (also known as the "black rise") and are ruled under numerous city-states. they're the smaller race and have pale skin, extremely dark eyes and hair, and have some bio-luminescent markings. they rely on science and fact. think amphibious cat alien humanoid sciency-spartan aliens. nice.

montanes are the worker dudes that live on the ancient mountains (called giants, each mountain named after a deity) and in the birch forests up north. they're generally much bigger than imperials, have tanner skin and are able to breathe/exert themselves better than their catlike enemies. they're also heavily, heavily, heavily dependent on religion and rituals.

when a montane and imperial procreate, they create what's called a "half-blooded bastard" (jk that's a filler name). the child usually has a mix of the parents' genes (and are MUCH more likely to be redheaded), but also possesses some sort of telepathic ability. depending on the ability (which correlates to the tribe they would be in had the montanes and imperials not have separated into two empires vs nine tribes), their lifespan may be longer or shorter than a normal pureblood (200~ earth years for pb).

these bastards are hunted. like a lot. the empire (imperials) keep them as slaves, the kingdom (montanes) sacrifice them. not very fun, yeah?

This is the SECOND draft of the novel and probably will never be updated because I don't usually write but have fun, fuckers. I'd try to find the first draft but it's cringy as fucK :')
