She walked the halls, alone.

People laughing, talking and some even gossiping. Nobody noticed her.

But she seemed to notice everyone.

The happy people and the sad ones. The people with masks on and the timid ones.

She knew everyone, yet she didn't know anyone.

How did they do all this so easily?

Was there a book on how to communicate with others that she hadn't yet found?

Her family called her names. They made fun of her. They called her socially-awkward and much worse, an alien.

Still, she stayed strong and held it all in. 

All this just because she was different?

This is the story of Astoria, through the eyes of a Wallflower.
