Adrian opens his apartment up to Becca when she has nowhere else to go for the evening. Once again, she’s having trouble getting to sleep, and the groggy man finds himself up to keep her company. What starts as one of their typical midnight mulls, about school and life and other miscellany, over hot beverages ends up turning into a rather painful conversation; a topic that Adrian had previously convinced himself he’d never have to speak of again. But things ends on a brighter note than he thought they would, and Becca’s words leave him pondering a more positive outlook on life.
