Atticus Ozrune is the greatest warlock in the entire world - and no one even knew he existed until now.

Oz has spent his entire life hiding in a hole in the ground with his mother, on the run from something so dangerous, he's not even allowed to know what. Upon her untimely death, Oz emerges from the hole and finds himself thrust into the real world: a world teeming with magic and sorcery, with mystery and delight. He finds a home within the grandiose halls of Agoston, a place that's much less school and much more sanctuary for the witches and warlocks of modern Europe. There, while honing his wizarding skills, he meets family, friends, and a boy - a grim-faced prophet-in-training named Blithe. Although Blithe resists, Oz soon befriends him - well, maybe even a little more than "befriend."

But something is waiting for Oz. Something dark and dangerous. Something that he had to hide from his entire life -

and it all leads back to Blithe.

Can he be trusted? Or will somebody - most likely Oz - end up dead?

OF KINGS AND PAWNS

84 parts Complete

Ray is low on time, luck, and hope; his only chance is an artifact that may not even exist. But upon meeting Landon, Ray is beginning to believe he might find all four. ***** Cambions are doomed to tragedy. They are weak, sickly creatures that rarely live to see their twentieth year. Ray refuses to resign himself to that fate. Upon learning of the Crimson Sheath-an artifact capable of preserving his life-Ray is prepared to fight, steal, and kill to get his hands on it. He is not prepared for Landon. Landon is an orphan with no memories of his parents, the only inheritance left to him a dagger, sleeping in a crimson sheath. Though he has no love of bloodshed and no use for a dagger, Landon isn't about to let Ray take his only link to his forgotten history, even if that means following the cambion past the edge of the world and into the shadow beyond.
