After the failed climate control attempt in 2032 in a joint NATO project, the whole world was sent under an a thousand year winter. The economy collapsed, food shortages became ubiquitous and governments were left with no way out. Then, a mysterious biochemical corporation, Triad, offered a new way of living -- domed cities. The technology was still in development stages, but compared to the other options it was the most viable. Nearly every government signed the contracts.

Each dome contains thousands of skyscrapers kilometres high, able to host millions of families. With sky trams built between towers, the roads down below were left to crumble and for nature to reclaim. In the United States, rather whats left of it, the rich and elite live up in the top while the less fortunate have no choice but to inhabit the lower levels.

Living under Triad's dome, you are required to abide by their rules. To survive you must be watched and listened to. Everyone must be on cam. Everyplace. Everytime. Everyone. The more people watch you, the more credits you receive. The less popular you are, the less you are paid. The government no longer exists, the only authority is the Triad Corporation.
