What if the curtain never fell? What if that bullet had never killed Christine?
Could it be too good to be true?
Christine Daae wakes up on a pier surrounded by frightened faces. She recognizes no one. She is thrown back into her life with out being able to remember what it was. She is a mother? She was a wife? Who is it she feels, but never fears, always standing by her side?

The Phantom must fight himself now. How can he help Christine to remember their love without showing her the monster he once was? And their son...He needs her back. His world, his light, his Angel will remember their story.
He will write the songs of their other time brought to life.

Between Mirrors and Roses (A Phantom of the Opera Fanfiction) ✓, de persephone7913
41 capítulos Concluída
The life of an ordinary girl is turned upside down when she is transported into her favorite musical, "The Phantom of the Opera," in the place of the elegant heroine. Negotiating life in 19th-century Paris is challenging enough without a diva scheming for leads, a sarcastic Persian's input, and two very different men battling for her affections! Should she stay faithful to the plot of the story or rewrite history? Should she choose a safe path with a reliable husband or risk her future following her mysterious Phantom? Told from the points of view of Erik - the Phantom - and the newly-made Christine, this story follows them both as they work through their respective demons to find love in the person that is a little different from all their imaginings. "A really well-written Erik/OC, with a lovely, smart, likable heroine. If you ever fantasized about taking Christine's place in POTO, read this." - @olivesky "I am literally crying right now. That was so good!" - @musicalsnmarkiplier "One of the best fan fictions I have ever read" - @elephant_hugger "I just discovered this today and finished it in one go. This is an extraordinary work, Erik deserves you to portray him 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻" - @Myatnoe123 "Sacrificing a few hours of sleep was worth finishing this." - @LiberDose "I must confess you've ruined all other Phantom of the Opera fanfictions" - @LilRed315 "Thank you for the 2-in-the-morning giggles, the falling-out-of-the-bed-blushing phangirl moments, and just writing this book in general! You are the best author!" - @ThatBabyQuinnDoh *Now available to read on archiveofourown.org* Disclaimer: I do not own The Phantom of the Opera or its characters. "Christine, I love you." The phantom's voice played a sweet tune in my mind. It was the first time he had confessed his love, but sadly, I couldn't return the favor. He had given me everything, fame, fortune, and a life of excitement and curiosity. Still, he had threatened to hang my beloved Raoul and sentence me to an eternity locked away from the world. My clammy hands shook with emotion as I slid the beautiful, diamond ring off my finger. The disfigured man helplessly gazed into my eyes, transforming my soul. I was the only one to look past his hideous physical appearance, to know how to comfort a creature of darkness; I couldn't bare holding in my emotions any longer. Tears plunged down my pale cheeks and I looked down to take his hand. Making sure not to drop the small item, I closed his rough fingers around the ring. "Goodbye," all sadness echoing through my word. I spun around and dragged my wedding dress through the foggy water to meet Raoul's awaiting boat. *** UPDATE 2020: Hello, all! I realized that this book recently gained traction in the fanfic world of Wattpad, again. Unfortunately, I wrote this back in 2014 and have yet to go through and edit. At one point, I planned on making a sequel to this. I don't expect to do so any time soon, but I appreciate the reads and the comments!
