Jessica Lee is a late-night thinker. She ponders about all the different things she could have done and what would have happened if she did. She thinks about everything and tries to make sense of life. But how can she when she's just a speck of dust, floating around the busy abyss of the universe?

When Jessica's boss dies from a heart attack, all the staff are worrying over jobs. Unfortunately, Jessica's boss' son has come in to take over - which means more pondering and thinking at night. Teasing Jessica and doing his best to make her life miserable, George Johnson enjoys his life - He owns his deceased mother's restaurant and is a rich tyrant.

When George considers tearing down the restaurant to start another hotel, Jessica's temper flares. And so, he begins to notice things about her that he didn't before. How mesmerizing her emerald green eyes are, and how perfect her button nose appears. All these little details that go right down to the number of freckles she has dusting her cheeks. He slowly falls for her, but can she do the same?
