Maggie had just started 9th grade and the whole summer break, she was with this boy, Alex. They were really cute and made it quite far in their relationship, but that's just because she didn't know that he was getting with Maggie's sister for the last 2 weeks of the vacation. Her sister has always been the "prettier" one, but the stereotypical pretty, tall, skinny, long legs, blue-eyed blonde. While Maggie isn't pretty, she's beautiful. She's a blonde beauty and amazing but she isn't as outgoing as her sister. But that didn't really stop boys from going out of their way for her.

Blakely isn't the prettiest girl with her dark brown hair and green eyes. She doesn't catch every guys' eye. She's more of a social butterfly and doesn't care what your religion, race, or sexuality is as long as you're a decent person. Her best friend's name is Maggie. She's the kind of girl to sit and read comic books and dye her hair blue. She's not a typical covergirl but no one is. She's not afraid to be different and stand out.
