Her Mother has been gone since she turned 9. Daun Hartford, age 15 now, has been learning how to cope with this for several years and is on the verge of her breaking point. She doesn't know where, she doesn't know why, and she doesn't know how her mom disappeared. Day after day she writes letters continuously telling her mom what its like without her there, in hopes of getting a reply back. Now her dad, on the other hand, is an alcoholic to the maximum and there isn't a moment he is sober. Daun never knew why he began drinking so suddenly and heavily either. She still has hope; that little spark of confidence as she waits for the day for her life to mend itself back together again. All Rights Reserved
