When you're younger, all you want is to grow up and do great things, to make your daddy proud and your momma smile. That's it. Children are very short-sighted. Life is so much more complicated than that and you don't even realize it until you're fully grown and life is rushing at you faster than you can handle. The only thing to do is pretend, to live the life meant for you. But how can you when you're fighting a war and you don't even know who the enemy is? How can you hold onto the person you were? Everything is changing.

This fanfiction is an Alternative Universe into the Muggle World but the characters still belong to JK Rowling. This contains characters from the Marauders era and others from Harry Potter.
