I was slowly awakening. The purple, pink and blue blend of colours illuminated the sky and the lush green fields surround me, like I was in the middle of Mauritius' reefs crowded with extravagant fish, eventually I arrived in the village and I could easily recognise the fresh breeze, like none other. Stepping out of the vehicle, I ran over to the house. I froze. I dropped to my knees and sobbed silently, the place had changed so much, I began to glare at every part of the house, it was so early in the morning I was astonished in shock. Getting back up, I walked towards the house at the same time the azan echoed through the village, I jogged with speed towards the door, the dusty desert-like sand merely dusting against my slightly baggy tracksuit bottoms. As I entered the house I walked around the house touching and staring at every memorable thing I wanted to never forget for as long as I lived. The day went quickly, and within a short space of time I dozed off and the last thing I saw was the the window reflecting back my own emotions and outside the moon glistening down on me through a gap in the clouds.
