Levi Waters was weird, but in a good way, but he never showed any emotion anymore.
I remembered when he smiled and laughed, even if I have never really spoken to him it wasn't hard to notice he did it a lot.
On the last day of our eighth grade year he was a ray of sunshine. Now, as freshmen, everything has changed, everyone seems to not notice him at all.
Levi Waters just went still.

The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?"
