Alice Paparman is diagnosed with a syndrome that not many people have. Since she was young, she's had it. Doctors eventually create the medicine she needs to keep her alive, but that is when she's 17 years old, going on 18. Alice makes a friend along the road of her crazy life and his name is George Whaleman. George spends 3 years with her as her best friend and he only finds out she has this syndrome the year she is going to die if she doesn't take this medicine. Alice chooses not to because she doesn't want her life to depend on medication. George then being the hero he is, tries to spend everyday he can with her. He gives up most of his entire summer break to be with her. Little does George know, he loves her and she loves him. He eventually figures out she loves him, but it's already too late. George finds Alice's diary she kept the entire time she began living in the hospital. He reads every page and sees into what she kept in her mind. He has to learn to live without her. His bestfriend. His only friend. His soulmate. George lives on to be without his beloved Alice. And yet he will never forget his Senior year of high school was dedicated to his one best friend, Alice Paparman.
