Being a dude is tough. Being a girl is hard. Being a girl disguised as a dude takes the cake. * * * From the crucial bread dilemmas to the books with shirtless guys on steroids, Sam’s life is anything but ordinary. Most seventeen year old girls are huddled in their room hidden behind a computer screen, checking out the latest gossip while they’re practically being eaten by bed sheets-well, at least the stereotyped ones. For Sam, her daily life consists of one thing only; Convincing everyone she’s a boy. That task alone is nearly impossible, but when you add in two nosey roommates-both boys too, I might add-a suspicious principle who should not be messed with, a whole bunch of *insert bad word that grandmas all over the world would not approve of* girls, and a best friend that doesn’t know the definition of ‘calm’, life can get a bit hectic. Don’t forget that older protective brother that thinks you’re becoming a transgender. One thing is for certain; Sam’s life won’t ever be the same again. And that the cause of her death will most likely be because of radioactive pickles.
