Baara was an Israeli slave who ended up in the home of Naaman, an Aram warrior. She was befriended by Naaman's wife Maacah, a former slave. During the years Baara lived in captivity, her dreams ranged from the nightmarish to the visionary. Through it all, she relied on her faith. When her master contracted leprosy, she suggested he go to Israel's prophet for healing. The love of Naaman and Maacah becomes the example of what love can bring to a marriage and the ideal that Baara hopes one day she can find for herself.
