Kid still holds onto his feelings for Soul, Tsubaki still feels the same way about Black Star, and Crona slowly started turning into his old self, not knowing how to handle anything, without Maka there, when he realized how he felt. The last thing Soul remembered before he woke up was the pain in his lungs from not being able to breathe for so long, and how close him and Maka had been to escaping the tank they drowned in.
