The ceiling fan creaked to a stop above her. Her nails gripped the cool edge of the metal table while she hung her head low. She was going insane. Officially. She knew it. She heard footsteps approach the door of the one-way mirrored room. She flung a piece of her red hair behind her ear before he entered silently and strode to stand and face her on the opposite side of the table. He fastened his badge over his shoulder and took a sip of the coffee from the blank, off-white mug on his desk. He looked over a few pieces of paper, then up at her, then back again. While fixating a bright lamp on her face, he began by asking a simple question: "so you know why we brought you down here, correct? Where were you on the night Mason Addams went missing?" Just hearing his name made her think of the memories; the sweet disasters that made her stomach flutter and her adrenaline levels skyrocket. It was like she was driving a car on a twisted mountain road while keeping her eyes on the rearview mirror. All hell was waiting for her ahead, but all she could focus on was her past. All Rights Reserved
