Lifeline

In the year 2011, many hysterical people across the globe waited for the end of the world to come. For some it did.

In October, strange reports came from South Korea of people turning into...monsters. The reports were largely discounted as the unreliable ravings of hysterical people brought on by stress and everyday unease. That is until cities in China and Japan were discovered to be under siege from said creatures.

Caving under international pressure after months of denials, the North Korean government finally admitted that a top-secret biological weapon had accidentally gotten out when a few of it's...test subjects, had escaped. Though most of the new race of creatures were harmless enough. The few that did possess human intelligence became bent on destroying the world.
