Since a child, Griffin has been forced to play the role of a prince by his uncle who poses as a long dead king, and Griffin's father. Griffin's life has been all been in preparation for war, and sieging the castle of Gayelonet by disposing of their queen Azalea. He is feared by many for his ability to manipulate shadows and hosts the Grim Reaper inside him. Darkness has been draped around him along with the blood on his hands, but he soon learns he's not completely lost due to a girl named Lakota. By chance, in the Forrest of Horrors on the border of her village and Luskenvane, the two meet and begin their story which ends in both their ideals; love and death.
