Dan Howell was your average teenager in high school, who was kind of an exchange student from London to the one place he never wanted to be. Oregon, but with one "small" obsession with playing piano with the dream of attending Ablejenté, the most famous and hardest music school to get into. As he sends in his application with a clip of him playing one of his special pieces, Piano Concerto No. 21 - Andante "Elvira Madigan" by Mozart, he meets a guy named Phil. A total punk-rock kid, who Dan thinks he has no shot with. Him and Phil bond over music tastes, and eventually things get a little heated. Until one single morning in a small town of Oregon changes his life and possibly his future forever. Triggers: Mention of character death, mature scenes, swearing, alcohol mentions //Based off the book 'If I Stay', in no way are events in this fic supposed to match to ones in the book itself. 'If I Stay' is a novel written by Gayle Forman. All ideas in this fanfiction are my own and I do not own Dan and/or Phil. Thank you.//

{COMPLETED} Dan Howell lives with his best (and only) friend PJ Liguori, who has been his assigned housemate ever since the Imperial Leader came to power. He's used to being surrounded by thousands of other fake blonde, blue-eyed people in the Navy district, where he lives, so he can't quite believe it when he is taken to an illegal club under a propaganda bookstore and is shown people who don't disguise themself in order to follow the rules. People like, for example, Phil Lester. Somebody on Amino told me this book was 'class' and I've never been happier. (If that was you, i love you)
