Genie Haringey feels like she has fallen into a proverbial ditch - everything in her life seems to be going wrong. Her first post-doctoral research project is more of a menace than a cure, her ex-boyfriend is happily engaged to one of those "gorgeous supermodel wannabe" types and her love life is a joke that has literally had her rolling on the floor with laughter.
