Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is a serious mental disorder marked by a pattern of ongoing instability in moods, behavior, self-image, and functioning.
Social Anxiety is the fear of interaction with other people that brings on self-consciousness, feelings of being negatively judged and evaluated, and, as a result, leads to avoidance.
Camila has BPD and Lauren has Social Anxiety. Lauren loves Camila but is too shy to admit her feeling. Camila loves Lauren but is too worried about hurting her.
