- Ok, ok. I think I've dropped enough hints about the fact that I'm 'different'. I guess I should spill the beans. When I was born, I had a rare cancer- mum had told me this. She didn't tell me anything else about my birth, other than that the kemo therapy went wrong. The doctors were testing a new serum that didn't cooperate with my blood type. It did cure the cancer, but it had a side effect. The serum made my bones and muscles shrink down to about a tenth of their original size. I'm very small for my age, I have to say. I'm quite proud of myself though- I've grown half a millimetre so now I'm about the size of an artline pen. Amy Leebeck is your average 16 year old girl, apart from one tiny detail. Or maybe he had changed his mind from two days ago. I went to pull away, flushing lightly with embarrassment. I didn't get to disconnect our lips before he unfroze and reacted. His grip tightened, his other one going to my hair to hold my head in place as he kissed me back with more intent than I even had started with. My body flushed for a different reason now.Complete

He saw the progress humanity had been making. He knew they had learned from their past environmental failures. In his opinion, the people of Earth didn't have to die.
