Ages ago there was a great war between the Rakshas clan and the humans which resulted in huge bloodshed and defeat of the Rakshas clan.

The whole clan was killed except for one Mayabi (magical) Rakshasni, Kamakshya, who stood strong all alone, to fight against her greatest enemy. She knew she could kill her enemy but she found it of no use, when all her loved ones were lying dead. She vowed in front of the whole army of men that she would take her revenge for killing her family and clan by killing the selfish sage who played a foul game to live forever.

She killed herself in the battle field.

 Kamakshya is reincarnated in the form of a woman named Durga after many years.
