Anorexia affects 0.5% of the female population in the U.S. Bulimia affects 1.5% of the female population in America. But in that 1.5%, you don't expect a 7-year-old who just wants to be a dance star. Lilliana Ketchman goes by Lilly. Please call her Lilly. Lilliana is too painful for her. Lilliana is what the eating disorder calls her. She seems to be a happy-go-lucky kid. The kid that puts a smile on anybody's face and lights up the whole room. But she can never put a real smile on her own face or make herself happy. She's beautiful, but she doesn't believe it. Because Ms. Abby never lies. Bulimia. How the hell does a 7-year-old figure out how to make themself throw up and understand that that can make them skinny? It doesn't matter. Bulimia takes over her life for two years. Two whole years she withered away. Until her mother forces her to the hospital. She used to be in this big black vortex of pain and suffering, but she's stronger. She got help and recovered. And now, she's back two years later at the Abby Lee Dance Company to dance again. But will Lilly stay strong when Ms. Abby starts commenting the same stuff to her? Will she fall back into the same patterns, or worse, create even deadlier patterns?

Chloe Clarkson is 15 years old and lives with her 10 older, overprotective, defensive, annoying brothers who will stop at nothing to keep her safe. When Chloe was six her mother and her father took Chloe to her dance competition but on their way home they got into an accident sadly her parents died leaving the oldest brother, Tom in charge. Since then Chloe has dealt with many mental health issues such as anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder. Chloe's anxiety is so bad she has a stutter when she is away from home, isn't with her brothers and when she isn't with her friends. She has an anxiety attack almost everyday. One day her and her brother fight leading to her family falling into a ditch. Finally Chloe is fed up of her family fighting and forgives. Everything comes out but when her brothers react speechless to a sad memory Chloe tell she takes it as a sign in a bad way. Chloe takes a step into water. Her brothers have to say a goodbye? They don't know is she'll wake up. Chloe is in hospital lifeless and her family and friends surround her.. Will she wake up or will she take a trip to her parents? A new guy in class? The bad boy starts getting me involved? A new group of friends? What happens when things start to turn over for Chloe? She becomes more confident and gains more trust. But as the same time she cracks. It's a bumpy ride but she has plenty of help along the way- lets just hope her brothers don't interfere to much on the ride. I can't bring myself to recognize the girl I'm staring at. Through her glassy eyes you can see that she's no foreigner to pain, whether physically, emotionally or mentally. Her hard expression warns people that she doesn't take their shit. But, her friends are the only ones to help her unravel and step out of the room that's trapped her with all her struggles and pains; they get her through all her enigma. They are all she needs. I stare at this girl, and I see myself. I see someone who is strong and determined, someone who needs to love herself and believe that she can be loved. The tears roll down my cheeks as I realize that 'this girl' is Amiane Alana Rochester, a girl who's been through a shit-load of fuckery. * In medicine pain relates to a sensation that hurts. If you feel pain it hurts, you feel discomfort, distress and perhaps agony, depending on the severity of it. Pain can be steady and constant, in which case it may be an ache. It might be a throbbing pain - a pulsating pain. The pain could have a pinching sensation, or a stabbing one. To Amiane, pain is all of the above. Can she handle any of it? She practices of managing her starvation by distracting it and never catches a break on the scale. Nobody is aware of it, it was something Rita doesn't want her friends or family to know, hiding her body from them didn't last long. Her mother noticed the dramatic weight change on her body. She tries to help her get back to her eating and tells her many times that she's "perfectly skinny" but nothing works. Her mother puts her foot down as Rita started to get ill, her mom takes her to a mental health hospital. She deals with consequences from her nurses and other patients.
