400 students in a ship 30,000 feet in the air. They train to become the saviors of the leftover world and the closing act on the Everwar-each and every one has superhuman abilities. The city of Mundare and the undergroud Resistance are teetering on a most delicate balance, but a balance is not what the Mundare wants, they want to win the Everwar and take over the Resistance. In the attempt to find victory, they create the Magpie Project-a two year course in which they will fabricate soldiers with extraordinary power and train them to hone it. However, their power is too dangerous for the Mundare to keep in the confines of their city, they are committed to the Novemspes, a goliath ship flying over the plains on the dangerous Outlands. So, in a series of events the Magpies flock together and take to the skies for very different reasons. Some to learn, some to serve and others to kill. This is the story of the Magpie Project.

A land torn by gods, ruled by monsters... and on the brink of war once more. A hundred years ago, two demi-gods clashed in a battle so fierce it shattered the continent. Both perished, leaving behind their creations - heroes, horrors, and rulers who carved Grimlore into five warring regions. Now, in the Age of Ruin, queens, kings, beasts, and warlords fight for survival and dominion. From the radiant halls of Veyra to the shadowed citadel of Neyros, alliances crumble, betrayals fester, and ancient artifacts resurface, relics with the power to change the fate of the world. But in Grimlore, one truth remains eternal, power is never given. It is taken.
